The health department has named Healthdirect the delivery partner for Medicare Thriving Kids, the phone and digital 'front door' for parents worried about a child's development, through a closed non-competitive grant. Built from Healthdirect's Pregnancy, Birth and Baby line and modelled at more than 230,000 contacts a year, it takes on a stream of early-childhood developmental queries that general practice has traditionally been the first stop for. No diagnosis is required to use it.
